Annual Hoboken House Tours
December 11, 2022 @ 2:00 pm
On Sunday, December 11, The Hoboken House Tour returns when Museum Director Bob Foster and Hoboken Talks producer Rand Hoppe livestream their visits to homes of historic, architectural or environmental value, representing a range of Hoboken lifestyles. This time, we’ll also enjoy their end-of-the-year holiday flair! Join us at the Museum for a Watch Party, or view the Tour from your home on the Museum’s YouTube channel.
The Watch Party at the Museum will begin at 2pm, and includes refreshments. The Tour runs from 3-6pm. At 3pm sharp, we’re unveiling a newly cast bronze bust of Frank Sinatra by sculptor Chris Dahlberg!! Tickets are $50 for the Watch Party and $25 in advance to view online, $30 day of the Tour. Private YouTube link will be provided 2 days in advance. Viewers will need a Google or YouTube account to access the link.
Bob Foster says, “The Museum’s been holding House Tours since the late 90s. We’ve missed having them these past two years, and are looking forward to the return of the event on Sunday, December 11. These tours offer a great opportunity to see a wide variety of architecture and home décor. We’ll visit brownstones on Hudson Street and a carriage house on Washington Street. We’ll see how Hobokenites live year-round in classic buildings rather than new construction. The time we’ll spend with the homeowners should provide a richer, more informative and entertaining experience than what was possible with the previous self-guided house tours.”
Rand Hoppe says, “For this year’s Hoboken House Tour, Bob and I will be your guides as the hosts take us through these unique homes. You’ll be able to watch live on YouTube and ask questions in real-time. We’re also offering the option to come to the Museum for a ‘Watch Party’ where you can hang with your friends and neighbors. We’ll have some light refreshments while you enjoy all the action on the big screen – and you’ll be able to ask questions, too!”
