The Nimbus Rose Gala

Celebrating 18 years of innovative dance and life-changing arts education experiences in Jersey City and throughout the region, Nimbus announces the Rose Gala on February 11, 2023 at the Nimbus Arts Center, a fundraiser for Nimbus’ ongoing impact through artistic and educational programs.
Guests will enjoy an elegant affair with drinks, food my local chef Tere Fox, good company, silent and live auctions, and, of course, plenty of dancing! Nimbus’ dancers highlight performances previewing The New Tide, by choreographer Dawn Marie Bazemore, featuring photographs by Gordon Parks and the music of Sam Cooke, as well as an excerpt from Artistic Director Samuel Pott acclaimed Spring, set to Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring.
The Nimbus Rose Gala salutes that which is essential to the sense of place, creativity, and community that make Jersey City and Hudson County beloved to so many: Arts, Education, and Parks. Nimbus honors three individuals who have worked tirelessly and with great impact in these areas: Sam Pesin (Friends of Liberty State Park), Annette Chaparro (NJ State Assemblywoman and Arts Advocate) & Cristina Marte (Arts Educator and Advocate).
