Lincoln Association of Jersey City Annual Dinner

$125.00Former New Jersey Governor James McGreevey, will be the featured speaker at the annual Jersey City Lincoln Association event on Lincoln’s birthday, Monday, February 12, 2024 at 6 P.M.
At 6 P.M., the association will host a cocktail hour followed by dinner at “The View” Restaurant in Lincoln Park. During the dinner former Governor McGreevey, a Jersey City native, will address the attendees. Before being elected governor, he was an assemblyman, state senator and mayor of Woodbridge, New Jersey. He now works with New Jersey Reentry Corporation, assisting formerly incarcerated persons.
This year’s event is the 159rd consecutive year that the association has held an event in Jersey City honoring Lincoln on his birthday. It is the oldest non-partisan Lincoln association in the country, formed shortly after Lincoln’s assassination in 1865. Over the decades many figures of national importance have addressed the association including people from the military and political worlds, historians, educators and civil rights leaders.
