Bike JC
A community-based advocacy group called Bike JC works to make Jersey City streets safe and welcoming for cyclists by encouraging traffic enforcement, the construction of bicycle lanes, the installation of additional bicycle racks, education, and organized rides. These are commuters, parents, BMX riders, businesspeople, planners, and supporters of Jersey City’s full potential.
They are dedicated to making Jersey Community the best bicycle-friendly city in the state through collaborating with the local communities, schools, and elected leaders. Jersey City is the ideal infrastructure to support commuting and recreational riding with its wide network of parks and public transit alternatives. In addition, bicycles are a vital tool for promoting intermodal linkages. Bicycling is also economical and easy on the environment, and it transforms the average commute into a great workout.
The area is also the ideal size for a bike ride, measuring seven miles long and roughly two miles wide and including many smaller city parks in addition to Liberty State Park and Lincoln Park.
