As Hudson Pride Center continues our Virtual Voyage, we welcome all women to join the next Lez Fest event, Lez Yoga!!

This FREE class will be offered through Zoom on Monday, May 11th at 10am with Pamela Weatherspoon.
Pamela was born in California and moved to Southern Oregon when she was almost 13. When she was 20 she moved to Portland, Oregon to finish her undergrad degree. Her passion for yoga came while in graduate school. It was an outlet that assisted her with staying physically fit and helped to manage the stress of working full time and going to graduate school. Following graduate school, she felt that the next natural step was to become certified to be a yoga instructor. She had a passion for finding creative ways to bring yoga to those who typically don’t think yoga is for them, and to those who may not have the means or ability to practice at a studio. She was teaching five times a week at Surya Yoga Academy in downtown Jersey City and loves to bring yoga to the community in creative ways when she can.
In addition, Pamela is a tireless advocate for creating positive equitable change for those who are most marginalized and/or underserved. She has received local and national awards for her work in community organizing, and progressing equity. Currently, she is the director of diversity and inclusion at Jersey City Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas affiliated hospital. She received her bachelor’s degree from Portland State University and her MBA from Concordia University. In her spare time, she loves to travel, craft, garden, and spend time with family, friends, and Elijah her cat.
