Living in Hoboken, one gets used to walking inside restaurants and shops adorned with Sinatra memorabilia that play “Fly Me to the Moon” on their speakers. I moved to Hoboken, the hometown of Frank Sinatra, over 20 years ago and, as it turns out, his family lived right in my neighborhood! In a place where Sinatra’s presence is so palpable, I got inspired to learn about him as a person—specifically, as the product of an immigrant family who made a spectacular rise to fame but remained a poet of heartache and loneliness.
I would love to take you around Hoboken while sharing stories of Sinatra and showing places associated with the legend. Hoboken offers a truly authentic look at the experience and culture of the Italian Americans as reflected in countless movies, songs, and stories—a source of endless fascination for people around the world. Come join me for a history tour and an authentic experience topped off by the taste of freshly baked Italian bread and homemade mozzarella.
