Cakes, cupcakes, cannolis, oh my! Carlo’s Bakery is a family owned bakery located on Hoboken’s bustling Washington Street. Since 1910, the bakery has been dedicated to producing quality Italian pastries and desserts for their loyal customers. The TLC smash program Cake Boss features the family-run bakery. Bartolo Valastro Sr. bought Carlo’s in 1964 after Carlo Guastaffero first launched it in 1910. Matriarch Mary Valastro, her children Grace, Maddalena, Mary, Lisa, and master baker Bartolo Jr. “Buddy” Valastro have all worked to grow the company.

Numerous publications, including Modern Bride and The Knot, have written about Master Baker Bartolo Jr. “Buddy.” The Today’s Show audience selected Buddy’s cake as the best cake in America. Carlo’s Bakery continues to be a charming hotspot for both tourists and locals in the city of Hoboken.
