We met in college and have been married for 15 years. Upon moving to the suburbs from New York City, Steve finally had the room to reconnect with his long-time passion for homebrewing. As avid beer enthusiasts with a passion for making our own beer, we decided to do a backyard renovation that included a brewing shed and pub. We started entertaining a lot and eventually began discussing the dream of opening a brewery and event space. After years of planning and finding the perfect space, our dream of opening a brewery and taproom started to become a reality. Our goal is to share our love of beer and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the heart of downtown Newark.
Newark Local Beer is an independently owned local craft brewery and taproom providing beers, daily tours, and beers to go. We now have Growlers & Cans to go, so you can leave with your favorite NLB beer. We welcome our customers to have food delivered.
